The role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative DevOps Tech Lead to join our Platform Delivery and Reliability Services (PDRS) team. If you excel in a dynamic and technically demanding environment, we want you on our team!

As a DevOps Tech Lead, you will be solving architectural challenges, planning current and future work, as well as provide insight, communication and leadership.  You will be instrumental in leading the development of a fully automated platform by overseeing the design and maintenance of Kubernetes environments as well as managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools.

You will work closely with the Product Manager of the PDRS team as well as development, operations, QA, and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth application deployment, scaling, and security across our private and public cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Give strategic direction when it comes to design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipeline tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate DevOps practices into the development lifecycle.
  • Enhance platform scalability, reliability, and security across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Drive DevOps best practices, fostering a culture of automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and analyze incidents, develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Keep up to date with the latest tools, trends, and technologies, and share knowledge within the team.

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced or expert in all layers of the DevOps work field.
  • Deep understanding of containerized applications and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, EKS etc.
  • Advanced Kubernetes Administration skills.
  • Expertise with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes Operator.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong knowledge within programming or scripting languages, such as Python and Groovy.
  • Expertise in designing and building reusable CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines, and TeamCity.
  • Experience with private and public cloud technologies, such as VMware/Openstack, and AWS/GCP/Azure.
  • Knowledge of registry and asset management tools such as Artifactory.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster partnerships and drive cross-functional alignment.
  • Ability to clearly express requirements and expectations to a wide range of individuals - and to understand stakeholders' requirements and see how they influence the course of action.
  • Identify and define technical solutions with respect to short, middle, and long-term strategies.
  • Experience and interest in working with AI and AI tools is a plus.
