The role

Do you consider yourself to be a technical thought leader? Do you possess a strong agile mindset? Then you could be just the Delivery Lead we're looking for!

You will be joining a team of talented developers and testers from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about what they do. You'll be responsible for driving multiple teams ‘deliveries as well as improving the teams' agile processes, collaborating with the Product Owners, Technical Leads, stakeholders and other teams.

You'll have prior technical experience in delivering scalable, high-performant distributed applications. You love the idea of working with a mission-critical product with millions of end-users and zero downtime. In your role, communication, coordination and team spirit are key components in getting things done.

What will you be doing?

  • Drive the delivery of multiple teams to production, coordinating across teams and backlogs.
  • Plan and distribute work, manage estimations and workload forecast with technical and business stakeholders ensuring to rely on key metrics and reports for decision making.
  • Ensure that all quarter milestones are planned, analysed, blockers & dependencies are managed keeping a channel of open communication between teams.
  • Ensure agile team meetings are organised and that the team is represented in all relevant meetings, promoting collaboration with other teams.
  • Be the first point of contact for the business and other development teams, being knowledgeable about your team's products.
  • Motivate the team and keep up the team spirit, ensure all team members feel important and part of the team. Actively seek to continuously improve user experience and service performance.
  • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.
  • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
  • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
  • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.

How Will Success Be Measured in this Role

  • Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies with a proven ability to tailor and adapt processes to suit the needs of different teams, ensuring a culture of flexibility and innovation.
  • Ability to facilitate and continuously improve the teams' process. Ensure the teams are aligned with Kindred Development processes, actively seek to develop and enhance the agile process used by the team.
  • Delivery of tasks on time and taking responsibility for your work and the deliveries of the team.
  • Robustness of technical delivery, high performance under load, low number of incidents.
  • Ability to maintain the balance between requirements and bug fixes, ensuring technical debt is addressed.
  • The team is highly functioning, challenged and motivated.
  • Effective communication within the team and the stakeholders.
  • Incidents are properly prioritized and addressed within the team.
  • Gains technical as well as business domain knowledge and is willing to share and spread their knowledge.

 

What have you done?

  • You will have experience mentoring and coaching Delivery Leads and Scrum Masters.
  • You will have proven track record of successfully delivering software as a Delivery Lead / Scrum Master in a technically complex environment, ensuring the business objectives and quality standards are met.
  • You can plan and forecast for the team's deliverables using key metrics, can report on them effectively and have excellent decision-making skills. You have worked in a highly transactional distributed architecture and understand the core principles of microservice architecture.
  • You will have a passion for continual improvement and be able to demonstrate this in previous roles.
