The role

This role is a 12 month maternity cover 

You will join a highly valued and progressive Business Finance Team, with exposure to key decision makers in the Group. The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in the team, as you will provide financial business partnering to key departments and budget holders within the Group and be responsible for running the planning cycles, reporting and analysis and being the primary contact for stakeholders.

 

What will you do (not limited to, but includes):

  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Own the end to end month end reporting process
    • Consolidation of Functional commentary in to Group performance
    • Ensure data integrity and updates to data files
    • Work with wider finance teams to ensure accuracy of numbers
  • Budgeting and Forecasting & Cost Optimisation:
    • Own the planning cycle for your area, ensuring financial forecasts are realistic and aligned to company strategic objectives
    • Ensure emerging cost risks are proactively highlighted and managed
    • Drive Cost Optimisation for own and wider areas through initiative creation
  • Business Partnering and Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as Trusted Partner to key departments and Budget Holders within the Group – ensuring stakeholders understand their P&L and long-term impact/plans.
    • Understand Performance to drive decision making through analysis and insights. Provide recommendations to improve and optimise spend.
  • Other:
    • Manage headcount forecasting and be key contact to Organisation Effectiveness Partner, ensuring data quality and processes are adhered to
    • Look for opportunities to utilise systems to improve processes and increase efficiency – drive continuous improvements to current reporting and processes.
    • Own key team processes and support ad hoc projects as and when needed.
    • Proactively keeps up to date with industry trends.
    • Ensure that you adhere to the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) obligations for your role.
    • Identify and raise any non-compliance incidents promptly to your line manager.
    • Challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group.
    • Complete all mandatory compliance training assigned to you.
    • Reach out to the Compliance Teams if unsure of any of your compliance obligations or the requirements are unclear.

 

Expectations from you

  • Build knowledge of the wider business to be able to join the dots
  • Be able to operate across and influence various level of stakeholders.
  • Proactively support and deliver the team objectives to support the group's cost strategy. Manage the cost budget – Highlight key performance trends and obtain insights to understand the “so what” impact to the Group.
  • Ensure costs are reported accurately in line with accounting standards & business reality.
  • Be innovative, drive process improvements and better ways of working.

 

What key skills/qualifications are we looking for?  

  • Qualified Finance Professional – ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
  • Have a sound level Financial and Commercial Acumen
  • Analysis and Insights – able to add value to stakeholders and drive better decision making.
  • Able to communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and Good PowerPoint Skills – able to analyse data and present in a “smart” way to “tell the story”.
  • Passion for the gambling industry & knowledge of our products a big advantage

  • Be a compliance ambassador and Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) leader within our Group
  • The group has numerous licenses across the globe, and you are accountable for the specific compliance obligations, as detailed in the group Compliance Framework (KCF), in your direct charge
  • Ensure that you, and your team, adhere to the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) obligations within your direct responsibility and control.
  • As subject matter expert you are accountable for the compliance risk in your area and you will decide on mitigation/risk acceptance, up to a pre-agreed level, as defined in the Compliance Framework (KCF)
  • Dare to challenge processes, policies and projects that will negatively impact compliance within the Group
