The role #LI-DG1

As a Corporate Affairs Advisor  for Kindred Group, you will play a key role in delivering the corporate affairs strategy in Belgium and the Netherlands. Your responsibilities will involve fostering and enhancing relationships with crucial stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and regulatory bodies. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Affairs Belgium/Netherlands, you will work closely with various internal teams such as Corporate Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Communications to ensure strategic alignment.

Your role supports Kindred's ambition to be a trusted partner to stakeholders, ensuring the company's voice is well represented in gambling policy discussions and other key issues in both countries. You will operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while addressing a variety of topics.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Affairs Belgium/Netherlands to implement Kindred's Corporate Affairs strategy in both countries.
  • Monitor policy, legislative, and regulatory changes impacting Kindred Group's operations.
  • Develop advocacy strategies on key issues like responsible gambling and regulatory frameworks.
  • Draft and deliver communications such as position papers, briefing notes, and reports.
  • Expand Kindred's external stakeholder network and represent the company at relevant meetings and events.
  • Work cross-functionally with legal, compliance, and corporate communications teams to support public affairs initiatives.

About You

  • You possess corporate affairs experience – not necessarily within gambling but a highly regulated industry is preferred. You understand the importance of solid government and regulatory relationships, and have a good understanding of the workings of policy development at a local and European level.
  • You already have some experience in mapping key policy makers and political decision makers, and can support the building of relationships with stakeholder groups in order to ensure proper representation and communication of Kindred's views.
  • You have a “can do” and pragmatic mentality, you can work both autonomously and collaboratively with other functional teams and you are able to engage and align back to the business leaders on important matters.
  • As part of Kindred, you are energetic, have a passion for delivering value and an agile mind set. In return, we offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, great challenges and colleagues. This position is available in either our office in Amsterdam or Antwerp.
  • You speak Flemish/Dutch fluently and are also proficient in English. French is considered a merit.

Additional Experience:

  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders from business, policy, and other areas.
  • Experience in the online gambling industry is a plus, though not essential. Experience in other highly regulated industries is also valued.
  • Commercial mindset, adaptability, and a flexible attitude suited to a dynamic, high-tech business environment.
