ABOUT YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As part of a newly created position, we are looking for our future Bid Manager, responsible for managing the entire tender process for our International Lottery Business Unit—from the initial evaluation of opportunities to contract award. This includes contributing to the development of winning strategies, creating complete response files, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and delivering high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals.

The role also involves liaising with clients (including regulators), coordinating cross-functional teams, analyzing market trends, and providing reports on tender activity, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

1) Tender Management

  • Track and prioritize all tender opportunities, managing the full process from identification and qualification to contract award.
  • Develop and implement bid strategies aligned with company objectives and client needs.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.

2) Proposal Development

  • Design persuasive, detailed, and costed proposals that highlight our added value and address complex technical, strategic, and business challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (business development, sales, technical, marketing, product, finance, legal, delivery, etc.).
  • Identify and manage potential suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and build winning strategies.

3) Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for client requests and facilitate communication throughout the process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, potential partners, and internal stakeholders, while facilitating high-level contacts between BULI management and clients/regulators as needed.

4) Performance Analysis and Reporting

  • Monitor tender outcomes and analyze success rates to identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data and insights to continuously improve bid quality and processes.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for top management, including key metrics and lessons learned.

WHAT WE THINK YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • A Master's degree (business school or engineering school) and at least 5 years of experience managing tenders in European markets. Knowledge of the gaming or lottery industry is a significant plus.
  • Strong understanding of the tender process, including bid design, strategy, and negotiation.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments and collaborate with internal and external teams to achieve common goals.
  • Strong business orientation, thriving in managing and prioritizing high-value tasks under tight deadlines.
