The role

Analytics Manager- Product Experience

At FDJ United, we're building the sportsbook of tomorrow. Harnessing insights from our rich data assets is central to delivering a best-in-class customer experience and unlocking operational efficiencies through automation.

We're developing an analytics function that spans two key areas: Product Performance and Product Experience. We're now looking for an experienced manager to build and lead the Product Experience Analytics team.

This role blends analytics expertise with a deep understanding of sportsbook experience. You'll work closely with stakeholders to shape the development and strategic direction of our sportsbook product.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders and product development teams to provide actionable insights, reports, and research. Key collaborators include Product Owners, UX, and CX teams.
  • Lead analytics for our A/B testing capability, working closely with UX, Data Engineering, and Frontend Engineering to design, execute, and evaluate experiments.
  • Define requirements for our data collection infrastructure, collaborating with Engineering and Data Engineering to ensure high-quality implementation.
  • Support the evolution of our analytics stack and contribute to the development of our self-service data platform.
  • Recruit, manage, and upskill a high-performing analytics team. Initially, you'll play a hybrid role as both an individual contributor and a team leader. Over time, your focus will shift more toward strategy and leadership.
  • Promote a product-led mindset and advocate for the critical role of analytics in enabling our sportsbook as a product-centric organization.
  • Drive adoption of analytics and reporting as part of the Definition of Done for product features.
  • Map customer journeys and provide actionable insights to UX and CX functions to inform design.
  • Operate within a global team. Stakeholders are based across the EU and Australia, so flexibility and autonomy in your working pattern will be essential.

To be successful in this role, we think you will hit many of the criteria:

  • Strong domain knowledge in B2C sports betting, with an understanding of the nuances of sportsbook user experience, betting mechanics, and industry-specific data flows.
  • A proven track record in leading and developing analytics teams, including mentoring analysts, defining team objectives, and building high-performing, collaborative cultures.
  • Deep expertise in digital data collection and modelling, including the ability to design and evaluate tracking strategies aligned to product and business needs.
  • Technical proficiency in tools and languages such as SQL, DBT, Redshift, S3, and Python for data analysis. Familiarity with data visualization and reporting platforms such as Power BI or Amazon QuickSight.
  • Hands-on experience with event data pipelines, particularly with technologies like Snowplow, to capture and process granular user interactions.
  • Experience implementing or working with A/B testing frameworks such as GrowthBook, with a sound understanding of experimental design, statistical significance, and interpretation of results.
  • Familiarity with analytics suites (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics). While not essential, this experience will inform your ability to shape the development of our in-house analytics suite, with your insights feeding directly into self-service platform requirements.
  • Experience working with cloud-based data platforms within environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including knowledge of data storage, processing, and access controls.
  • Strong collaboration skills with Data Engineering teams, including defining requirements, coordinating on implementation, and ensuring data quality and usability across shared systems.
  • Solid foundation in general statistical concepts and theory, including hypothesis testing and confidence intervals.
  • Proven knowledge of A/B testing methodology and experimental design, including segmentation strategies, control group logic, and post-test analysis.
  • A growth mindset, demonstrated by a commitment to continuous learning and a willingness to coach, support, and challenge your team to reach their full potenti
